i found the staff very friendly and helpful . the rooms were new and clean (it really made a difference). its close proximity to a station meant easy transport to many tourist spots. i really liked this convenience.
i was a little surprised about a discretionary charge added to the bill upon checkout.

mixed feelings after stay

I booked a two-night stay. the woman at reception seemed rather put out when i inquired about an upgrade. Her tone was unpleasant and she audibly grunted when i asked about the fee. at breakfast, the server insisted i fetch my own orange juice from the buffet, a task i could manage myself, of course, but it felt a bit off for a supposedly high-end place. also, the bedside clock was 15 minutes slow, nearly causing us to miss our show. I'd expect housekeeping to notice something like that.

The staff, they are professional and polite.

The room was definitely the best part of our stay. It was beautiful and spacious.
I was pretty shocked to find no robes, slippers, or hangers in the spa changing room lockers. also, ordering from the menu at breakfast cost extra, even though our stay included breakfast. That seemed odd. it's like they're nickel-and-diming you.
